Two-Way Tap: the only NFC system that prevents both overdose and underdose
Standard medical IDs are read-only. TapMe Medical's Two-Way Tap records every interaction — so caregivers can see what was given and when, and the system can warn before a dangerous error occurs.
Prevents Overdose
When a caregiver or nurse taps to administer a dose, TapMe checks the patient's tap history. If the minimum safe interval hasn't passed, a clear warning is shown before any medication is given.
Prevents Underdose
If a scheduled dose window passes without a tap, TapMe alerts the assigned caregiver or nursing staff. Missed doses — which can be as dangerous as overdoses — are caught before they become a problem.
How Two-Way Tap works
Caregiver taps patient device
The first tap opens the medication record and logs the caregiver, time, and medication about to be given.
TapMe checks safety window
The system instantly checks the last dose time against the minimum safe interval. Green means safe to proceed; red means stop.
Confirmation tap closes the loop
After administration, a second tap records the confirmed dose. The audit trail is complete. Next caregiver sees the full picture.
